Summary
The position is responsible for manufacturing process design, process quality assurance, improvement, and process sustenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain manufacturing operation sequences, specifications, equipment, and requirements for new and existing products.
- Translate product design requirements into manufacturing process specifications.
- Support new product introductions and cross-functional problem solving.
- Implement Poka Yoke, SPC, process capability tools, and sustainable corrective actions.
- Handle customer-returned defective goods through preliminary testing and observation reports.
- Implement flow charts, standard work, procedures, control plans, and FMEAs.
- Propose manufacturing setup changes and design new manufacturing lines.
- Apply MSA, SPC, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, material properties, ergonomics, and Poka Yoke.
Functional Competencies
- Design and develop efficient jigs and fixtures, preferably with feasible automation.
- Understand GD&T, tolerance stack-up, engineering material properties, DFM, ergonomics, and Poka Yoke.
- Perform process planning, execution, line balancing, capacity planning, and production ramp-up using Gantt charts or MS Project.
- Apply SPC, Poka Yoke, Six Sigma, and other problem-solving techniques.
- Exposure to welding technology, pneumatic products, or PLC programs is advantageous.
