• Job Description: As a member of Varioscale, you will join a team of engineers developing tools and
• technologies that contribute to the failure analysis efforts at the world’s leading
• semiconductor manufacturers. You will become experienced with engineering tools that
• de-process semiconductor integrated circuits and analyze them with advanced microscopes,
• such as atomic force microscopy (AFM), optical, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
• Our core engineering technology covers laser chemical etching of integrated circuits,
• precision 3D mechanical milling of silicon and packaging material, and infrared and visible
• light based interferometric measurements. Your role will also include contributions to the
• development of new tools for semiconductor process verification and failure analysis, as
• well as system support for our tools at many of the worlds most advanced research
• institutions and semiconductor manufacturing companies. The candidate will be part of a
• small multidisciplinary team of chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineers and scientists,
• and must be able to communicate effectively through verbal and written documentation,
• accomplish goals in a matrix team environment, and be an effective problem solver at
• customer sites.
