Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Scope of Ownership
• · Own engineering of assigned equipment/processes
• · Lead root-cause resolution and defect elimination
• · Lead centerline setting and optimization
• · Lead CI and loss-elimination projects
• · Lead capital project execution
• · Lead standard work and SOP technical content
• · Lead startups and changes
• · Contribute to Process Reliability (PR) improvement
• Key Responsibilities
• · Identify, prioritize, and eliminate process losses
• · Build process capability and control (PQM / MU)
• · Provide feedback to design and lead smart standardization deployment
• · Define equipment standards
• · Lead change management and validation processes
• · Lead and build the team's capability in technical troubleshooting of process failures
• · Lead process benchmarking and reapplication across sites
• · Execute the technical side of capital projects, startups, and changes
• · Help capture tribal knowledge and load it into team training (e.g., Augmentir)
• Day-to-Day
• · Design, implement, and maintain systems to collect and analyze data on critical product and process parameters
• · Use that data to identify process losses
• · Work with line management to prioritize improvement opportunities
• · Eliminate or reduce prioritized losses by changing processes or work systems
• · Participate in daily direction-setting — report results, flag issues, and request resources
• · Own critical daily management systems, e.g. center-lining (run-to-target)
• · Standardize equipment and work processes; own the change management system for your designated process; update control strategies and operating procedures as changes occur
• · Share and reapply learnings across processes, modules, and plants
