Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all process commissioning activities from mechanical completion through startup and handover
- Develop and implement Commissioning Execution Plans, Procedures, and Schedules
- Coordinate commissioning activities with engineering, construction, vendors, and operations teams
- Oversee system walkdowns and punch list management
- Lead commissioning and startup of water injection, produced water treatment, chemical injection, and utility systems
- Coordinate brownfield modifications and tie ins
- Ensure strict compliance with commissioning HSE procedures and participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, and PSSR
- Coordinate with Operations teams for facility acceptance and handover
- Prepare and review commissioning procedures, startup procedures, and performance test reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- 18+ years of Oil & Gas industry experience
- Minimum 8 years in commissioning and startup leadership roles
- Extensive offshore EPC commissioning experience
- Strong background in offshore water injection systems and brownfield projects
- Proven experience managing commissioning teams during offshore facility startups
- Experience with ADNOC Offshore projects highly preferred

Job Purpose
- The Process Commissioning Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all process commissioning activities for the Offshore Water Injection Project.
- The role ensures safe and efficient pre commissioning, commissioning, startup, performance testing, and handover of water injection facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all process commissioning activities from mechanical completion through startup and handover.
- Develop and implement Commissioning Execution Plans, Procedures, and Schedules.
- Coordinate commissioning activities with engineering, construction, vendors, and operations teams.
- Oversee system walkdowns and punch list management.
- Ensure Mechanical Completion Certificates (MCC) are achieved prior to commissioning.
- Coordinate hydrotesting, flushing, air blowing, chemical cleaning, leak testing, drying, and preservation.
- Lead commissioning and startup of water injection, produced water treatment, chemical injection, utility, filtration, and pumping systems.
- Coordinate brownfield modifications and tie ins.
- Ensure strict compliance with commissioning HSE procedures.
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, and PSSR activities.
- Coordinate with Operations teams for facility acceptance and handover.
- Prepare and review commissioning procedures, startup procedures, and performance test reports.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.
- Commissioning certifications or specialized training in Oil & Gas commissioning are advantageous.
- Process Safety Management (PSM) training preferred.
Experience
- 18+ years of Oil & Gas industry experience.
- Minimum 8 years in commissioning and startup leadership roles.
- Extensive offshore EPC commissioning experience.
- Strong background in offshore water injection systems and brownfield projects.
- Proven experience managing commissioning teams during offshore facility startups.
- Experience with ADNOC Offshore projects highly preferred.
- Previous involvement in FEED, Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, and Startup phases.

- Commissioning Expertise: Mechanical Completion, Pre Commissioning, Systemization & Completions Management, Startup & Performance Testing, Operational Readiness, Punch List Management, Handover & Close Out.
- Process Safety: Process Safety Management (PSM), Pre Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), HAZOP/HAZID Participation, SIMOPS Management, Emergency Response Preparedness, Permit to Work (PTW) Systems.
- Software Skills: ICAPS, WINPCS, Hexagon Smart Completions, AVEVA Commissioning Solutions, Aspen HYSYS (Preferred), MS Office Suite, Power BI.
