Role Overview
The Private Equity Associate supports investment sourcing, due diligence, financial analysis, portfolio management, and value creation initiatives.
The role works with investment professionals, senior leadership, portfolio companies, advisors, and external stakeholders to evaluate opportunities and maximize long-term returns.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, screen, and evaluate potential private equity investments.
- Conduct financial, commercial, operational, market, company, industry, and competitor analysis.
- Build financial models, valuation analyses, forecasts, and investment cases.
- Support due diligence across financial, commercial, operational, legal, tax, and strategic areas.
- Evaluate returns including IRR, MOIC, cash-on-cash returns, and downside scenarios.
- Prepare investment memoranda, committee presentations, valuation reports, and transaction materials.
- Support deal structuring, negotiations, financing analysis, and execution activities.
- Monitor portfolio companies, develop value creation plans, track KPIs, and support exit planning.
- Maintain investment documentation, databases, models, and transaction records.
Requirements
- Experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, M&A, or a related investment role is required.
