About the Team

  • Journal is a Tier 0 service powering critical streaming infrastructure for Amazon's most foundational services including DynamoDB, S3, and EC2.
  • Processes billions of log records daily across all AWS regions.
  • Manages end to end capacity planning, supply chain operations, and infrastructure scaling.

Role Overview

  • Seeking an exceptional Principal Technical Program Manager to lead infrastructure supply chain and capacity planning initiatives.
  • Role involves forecasting demand, planning supply, coordinating with engineering teams, and partnering with finance teams for CapEx planning.
  • Need someone ready to champion AI powered solutions for infrastructure challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demand Planning & Forecasting: Partner with AWS internal customer teams to gather capacity forecasts and develop demand models.
  • Supply Chain Management: Own end to end EC2 hardware procurement lifecycle, optimize processes, track inventory.
  • Finance Partnership & CapEx Planning: Liaise with finance, develop financial models, drive OP1 planning cycles.
  • Capacity Build & Engineering Coordination: Work with engineering teams to plan and execute capacity builds.
  • Program Leadership: Own infrastructure supply chain charter, influence strategy across 8+ engineering teams.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop long term capacity strategies, identify risks, lead deprecation and migration programs.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience in verbal and written communication for executive level leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands on work managing complex technology projects experience.
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
  • Hands on technical orientation with ability to dive deep into systems, code, and data pipelines alongside engineering teams.

Compensation

  • Base salary range: CAN, BC, Vancouver 157,600.00 263,200.00 CAD annually.
  • Amazon's package may include sign on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
  • Benefits include health insurance, RRSP, DPSP, paid time off, and other resources.
