RBC is building AI evaluation and governance capabilities to assess AI system quality and safety before and after deployment.
The role owns a capability area connecting agent performance evaluation with risk-based governance, compliance reporting, and responsible enterprise AI adoption.
Product Strategy and Roadmap
- Own end-to-end product strategy and a multi-year roadmap for evaluations and governance.
- Prioritize and sequence the portfolio against business risk, regulatory needs, and platform adoption.
- Lead discovery and requirements definition with engineering, risk, compliance, and business stakeholders.
- Evaluate build, buy, and partner options for evaluation and governance tooling.
Delivery Partnership
- Partner with engineering and architecture leadership on feasibility, sequencing, and trade-offs.
- Work with project management to turn prioritized requirements into a funded and scheduled program of work.
- Stay engaged through delivery, resolving scope questions and replanning trade-offs.
Stakeholder and Business Engagement
- Represent the capability area to risk, audit, compliance, architecture, governance, and vendor stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary product voice to senior leadership on the health and trajectory of the capability area.
- Partner with adjacent product and engineering leaders so requirements are considered early.
Launch, Value, and People Leadership
- Define launch value messaging, target user personas, success metrics, and business-case inputs.
- Build, mentor, and lead product managers focused on evaluations and governance.
- Foster consistent discovery, prioritization, iterative delivery, user understanding, and data-backed decision-making.
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of product management experience, including several years in risk, compliance, safety, or governance-oriented technology.
- Experience delivering production AI/ML systems in an enterprise environment is required.
- Hands-on LLM API integration and direct ownership of AI testing, evaluation, or monitoring for quality and risk are required.
- Regulated-industry experience with audit and regulatory review exposure is required.
- Technical fluency in system design, APIs, data pipelines, vector databases, RAG architecture, and observability is required.
- A technical university degree or equivalent experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading and developing product managers is preferred.
- Experience translating regulatory or audit requirements into automated processes or tooling is preferred.
- Experience with AI safety, model risk management, automated AI evaluation, observability platforms, or AI-specific regulatory frameworks is preferred.
- Experience establishing a new function in a scaling organization is preferred.
