Principal Technical Advisor (SME)

Savvee Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Principal Technical Advisor (SME) to support our federal client onsite in Ashburn, VA.

The ideal candidate will provide strategic technical leadership to drive modernization, innovation, and operational excellence across a complex portfolio, helping government stakeholders make informed decisions through data-driven insights and emerging technologies.

This candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to evaluate opportunities, mitigate risk, and advance scalable solutions that improve mission outcomes and long-term performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Providing expert guidance in developing meaningful KPIs and SLAs to measure integrator performance, focusing on value, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with Government objectives.
• Analyzing technical, financial, and operational data to evaluate performance against baselines, identify trends, and surface risks or opportunities for improvement.
• Translating complex performance data into clear, data-informed recommendations for Government governance bodies.
• Identifying, evaluating, and demonstrating technology-enabled approaches (including cloud, AI/ML, and intelligent automation) that improve mission performance and operational efficiency.
• Advising executive stakeholders by translating complex technical concepts into actionable options, shaping scalable, low-risk solutions that align with Government priorities and operational realities.
• Leading rapid prototyping, proofs-of-concept, and other innovation activities to test and validate potential solutions before broader commitment.
• Assessing technical feasibility, risks, dependencies, security considerations, and transition approaches associated with new modernization initiatives.
• Performing additional duties as assigned in support of evolving contract requirements and client needs.
• Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.
• Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
• Active PMP certificate
• Possesses one or more relevant professional certifications in cloud architecture, agile delivery, or platform engineering (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent) MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
