Role Overview
AWS Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers, and operates global infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling.
The Principal Tech Operations Engineer leads and scales regional manufacturing operations across a complex, multi-vendor hardware production ecosystem.
The role owns supplier orchestration, site enablement, technical roadmaps, capacity planning, performance management, and manufacturing outcomes.
Strategic Planning and Transformation
- Define the three- to five-year manufacturing operations strategy and prioritize capability, capacity, and technology investments.
- Lead automation, robotics, flexible-line, rapid-changeover, multi-product qualification, and lights-out manufacturing programs.
- Own capital expenditure planning, investment cases, and operational risk mitigation across the manufacturing network.
- Develop strategic documents and recommendations that influence manufacturing priorities at the executive level.
Manufacturing and Integration
- Architect production line design, material flow, and workstation configurations to improve throughput, cycle time, and ergonomic safety.
