Principal Software Engineer, Engineering Acceleration

• 9+ years of software engineering experience, with a significant portion spent owning developer productivity, build infrastructure, or internal developer platform systems at scale.
• Owned end-to-end design, launch, and long-term evolution of tools or systems used by other developers at scale (2000+ engineers).
• Deep knowledge of source control and/or CI tools and infrastructure. GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Artifactory experience are a plus.
• Experience working with common cloud and hosting technologies, particularly AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Hashistack (Nomad, Vault, Terraform).
• Fluency in at least one common language (C#, Python, Go, Java).

• Passionate about the developer experience, informed by deep technical knowledge, productivity tooling experience, and a customer-focused mindset.
• Experienced leading cross-functional efforts at scale, aligning teams across a company and driving complex technical initiatives to completion.
• A technical leader excited to mentor engineers at all levels and elevate the team through your evangelism of best practices, architectural thinking, and engineering culture.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below.

The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand.

Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range.

This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
