Arm is seeking a Principal Software Engineer for its infrastructure solutions software team in the CE-SW group.
The role combines hands-on technical leadership with responsibility for leading and developing a local engineering team.
The focus is validating and productising infrastructure platforms for production-ready solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a local software engineering team through technical direction, coaching, and career development while remaining hands-on.
- Drive system validation and productisation for Infrastructure System Solutions.
- Establish validation plans, quality criteria, and product-readiness approaches.
- Advance scalable test infrastructure, CI, regression capabilities, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate across locations and teams to manage dependencies and resolve complex system-level issues.
- Drive execution across pre-silicon and silicon environments.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong experience testing complex system software across pre-silicon and/or silicon environments.
- Technical background in SoC, firmware, platform software, or system-level validation.
- Proven experience leading and developing software engineers through line management and technical leadership.
- Strong knowledge of software quality, validation methodologies, automated testing, CI, and product readiness.
- Excellent technical judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of server-class SoCs, including RAS, power management, PCIe, CXL, memory, and virtualization.
- Familiarity with the Linux kernel, TF-A, UEFI EDK II, OpenBMC, or KVM.
- Experience with automated system validation, hardware test environments, server farms, or CI infrastructure.
