Role Overview
Lead the design, development, and delivery of automation test frameworks for a next-generation software platform.
Provide technical automation leadership within the Software QA team.
Test N-Tier application services and data platforms in an Agile development environment.
Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end quality strategy for data platforms and engineering systems.
- Architect automation frameworks for batch, streaming, API, and UI validation.
- Establish data quality governance, validation standards, and KPIs.
- Design reconciliation, integrity, and observability validation.
- Lead testing for data migrations and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Integrate quality gates into CI/CD and DevOps pipelines.
- Drive performance, reliability, and security validation.
- Mentor QA engineers and collaborate on data mesh and lakehouse validation.
- Evaluate AI-driven testing and automation accelerators.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8–12+ years of Quality Engineering experience with a strong data or platform focus.
- At least 2 years in technical leadership or quality ownership.
- Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL optimization, and pipeline validation.
- Experience leading quality initiatives in cloud-based ecosystems.
- Exposure to data governance, compliance, and security validation.
Technical and Leadership Skills
- Advanced Python and expert-level SQL are required.
- Snowflake is preferred; Redshift and BigQuery are listed as data testing platforms.
- Spark exposure and Kafka streaming validation are required technical areas.
- AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud experience is relevant.
- Experience with automation framework design, CI/CD, DevOps, performance validation, and data orchestration is relevant.
- Leadership skills include test architecture, KPI governance, mentoring, strategic thinking, innovation, and executive stakeholder communication.
