Principal Software Architect

Technology Strategy and Collaboration

• Champion backend, frontend, data, and AI/ML technologies including Go, Node.js, Java, .NET Core, React, Angular, Kafka, Spark, Snowflake, MongoDB, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Drive CI/CD and GitOps practices using tools such as GitHub Actions and ArgoCD.
• Mentor architects and senior engineers and collaborate with product, security, infrastructure, and customer teams.
• Lead technical engagements with strategic partners and participate in pre-sales and customer technical presentations.

Technical Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of object-oriented design, enterprise architecture patterns, distributed software patterns, and full-stack technologies.
• Expert proficiency in C# and associated frameworks.
• Strong expertise in cloud platforms, software security, relational data, database design, query optimization, XML, XPath, and XSLT.
• Experience with unit testing, source code management, estimation, root-cause analysis, threat modeling, architectural reviews, and performance tuning.

Experience and Education

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Information Sciences, or a related field, or a foreign equivalent.
• At least 15 years of software development experience, with 20 or more years typical for the role.
• At least 12 years of product experience and at least 12 years of domain experience; 15 or more years in each is preferred.
• Familiarity with the insurance domain and at least one Duck Creek product.
• Travel expectation is 0-25%.
