Principal Engineers are responsible for evaluating, selecting, developing, and executing programs related to product and process characterization, continuous improvement, equipment design, specifications, and quality system implementation. They may oversee the planning and execution of capital projects, such as building new production facilities or upgrading existing ones. Principal engineers work closely with interdisciplinary teams of engineers, technicians, and other professionals to ensure that processes are safe, efficient, and cost-effective. Their expertise lies in applying engineering principles, such as mechanical, electrical, chemical, or process engineering, to design and improve systems. Responsibilities:
Principal Quality Engineer I:
Lead cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and deliver complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
Provide technical guidance and expertise to resolve challenging engineering problems and ensure the quality and reliability of products and innovative solutions.
Mentor and coach lower-level engineers, helping them develop skills and grow in their roles.
Evaluate project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Collaborate with other departments to align engineering efforts with overall business objectives.
Ensure all engineering activities adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Conduct detailed process simulations and analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.
Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
Implement process control strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce variability.
Conduct safety assessments and ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Create presentations and present to customers and at industry forums.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of safety protocols and procedures.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of design, optimization, and project activities.
Collaborate with regulatory affairs teams to address compliance requirements.
Prepare technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
