Job Summary
The role leads project control and commercial functions across complex building projects.
The position supports project commercial governance through strategic planning, team leadership, and process optimization.
Commercial and Project Control
- Manage project commercials through budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and earned value analysis.
- Prepare agreements, change control notes, invoices, budgets, and other commercial documentation.
- Coordinate cost data across project disciplines and report costs, budget variances, and progress to project leadership.
- Set up projects in control systems and monitor actual resources and costs against planned budgets.
Stakeholder and Team Leadership
- Attend client meetings and address cost- and invoice-related queries.
- Coordinate approvals for IETs, change orders, and invoices.
- Lead and mentor project enablers and project control staff to deliver timely, high-quality support.
Reporting and Improvement
- Develop and automate Power BI or similar dashboards to monitor project performance and KPIs.
- Drive continuous improvement of project control processes.
- Ensure compliance with internal commercial and financial policies and procedures.
Education and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, including Mechanical, Electrical, or MEP-related fields, is required.
- At least 13 years of project control or commercial management experience on building projects in the design consultancy sector is required.
- Strong exposure to MEP systems is highly desirable.
- Additional Finance or Project Management qualifications such as an MBA, PMP, or RICS are advantageous.
Skills and Competencies
- Commercial and financial acumen, communication, project control software, financial systems, Power BI, leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills are required.
