The role focuses on platform quality, reliability, infrastructure, observability, and location-related systemic risk.
What You Will Do
- Identify where the platform may fail under growth and build fault tolerance and capacity buffers.
- Make performance and reliability first-class product requirements.
- Advance observability and telemetry so teams have visibility into system health.
- Define company-wide platform KPIs for fast, high-quality delivery.
- Surface and mitigate structural risks such as location quality and performance issues.
- Turn platform data and infrastructure realities into clear decisions and investment priorities.
- Partner with stakeholders to establish a forward-looking strategy for future scale.
What They Are Looking For
- 10 or more years of product management experience, including significant principal- or staff-level cross-functional work.
- Track record solving platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing problems at a fast-growing consumer technology company.
- Fluency in performance and reliability engineering and observability practices.
- Experience with digital mapping and location services is a major plus.
- Strong back-end systems understanding and empathy for internal builders and consumers.
- Experience aligning stakeholders across large, matrixed engineering organizations.
- Strong analytical instincts and excellent written and verbal communication.
- High ownership, bias for action, and a perspective on security, privacy, trust, and compliance.
Compensation
- The US-based salary range is $178,500 to $261,500 per year.
- Final base pay may vary based on location, background, knowledge, skills, and experience; the package also includes benefits and equity.
