- Hybrid working arrangement in London, White City, with two days per week on site.
- Permanent contract.
About the role
The Principal Network Engineer is a key technical leader within the Network Engineering team.
Own the design, implementation and operation of core network infrastructure across routing, switching, security and wireless technologies.
Provide technical leadership, mentor team members and help evolve network capabilities and engineering standards.
Core responsibilities
- Serve as the final escalation point for complex network issues across routing, switching, security and wireless domains.
- Contribute to long-term network technical strategy and architecture.
- Lead evaluation, selection and deployment of networking technologies and services.
- Develop and enforce technical standards, best practices and documentation.
- Design and implement network automation using Python, Ansible, Go or related tools.
- Lead highly available, scalable and secure network solutions and complex change projects.
- Provide security guidance, track operational metrics and integrate network operations with monitoring tools.
