Role Overview
Design and deliver intelligent distributed systems that power large-scale AI and LLM capabilities.
Define and execute the vision for AI and LLM-based systems at scale.
Shape technical direction and bring ideas from concept to production across SAP’s global ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement production systems in Go, Java, and Python.
- Build and optimize backend services, databases, APIs, and LLM infrastructure.
- Use Kafka, Postgres, HANA, gRPC, and advanced LLM frameworks.
- Mentor engineers from junior to senior levels.
- Translate business goals into scalable, high-impact solutions with cross-functional teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, with strong programming expertise.
- At least 10 years of software engineering experience delivering complex systems.
- Ability to work independently and lead initiatives from idea to deployment.
- Production experience with AI/ML and/or LLM systems.
- Expertise in distributed systems design and implementation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
- Strong English communication skills in global, multicultural teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Open-source contributions or significant personal technical projects.
- Experience integrating AI capabilities into large-scale enterprise products.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an iterative, results-oriented mindset.
Compensation
- Targeted combined annualized compensation range is CAD 144,600 to CAD 322,500, including base salary and variable incentive target.
