Role Overview
Principal Engineer within WSP's Water Team providing leadership and technical support on water and wastewater modelling projects.
The role supports accurate and efficient project delivery for internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and technical support on water and wastewater projects.
- Support network modelling and engineers working on project teams.
- Support feasibility studies and optioneering.
- Perform model calibration, verification, needs assessment, and optioneering.
- Prepare reports and supporting drawings.
- Define work required by field investigation teams.
- Respond to customer needs and support client relationships.
- Guide and manage graduates, engineers, and technicians working on the same projects.
- Attend internal and client project meetings, including by video conference where appropriate.
- Complete continuing professional development and comply with relevant health and safety duties.
Technical Experience
- Use InfoWorks ICM and other software for hydraulic modelling and technical analysis.
- Use existing models and build new models to assess asset performance.
- Experience may include urban drainage modelling, wastewater modelling, model verification, needs assessment, or optioneering.
