Role overview
Principal Engineer responsible for aerospace project execution, technical team leadership, workforce allocation, and operational performance.
The role interfaces with US-based points of contact and subject matter experts to report status and validate approaches or designs.
Job responsibilities
- Collaborate with leaders and counterparts to develop and execute programs and projects.
- Estimate and track project schedules and costs.
- Lead technical contributors and take responsibility for a team of engineers.
- Assign technical resources to work assignments and manage workforce allocation.
- Plan, organize, and control responsibilities for engineers.
- Develop and technically coach staff.
- Conduct annual reviews, performance discussions, and regular one-to-one meetings.
- Drive continuous improvement, predictable project performance, productivity, process excellence, and compliance.
- Explore portfolio growth opportunities and achieve capability development targets.
- Improve employee experience, retention, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Technical competencies
- Broad knowledge of aerospace standards, procedures, and protocols to meet customer requirements.
