Role overview
Join GE Vernova Advanced Research as Principal Engineer for Electrical Power Electronics.
Contribute to electrification, renewable energy, power generation, and grid technology development.
Work with engineering, product, service, research, business, and external partner teams.
Key responsibilities
- Identify electrical and grid technology needs with GE Vernova leaders.
- Identify disruptive technology trends and strategic partners.
- Create technology roadmaps for electrical systems and grid technologies.
- Build research programs supporting the electrification strategy.
- Lead early-stage technology development through successful product introduction.
- Coordinate technology efforts with businesses and long-term product roadmaps.
- Own laboratory demonstrations for internal and external customers.
- Drive multi-year competitive technology and product plans.
- Provide technical leadership on technologies, market trends, safety, quality, and productivity.
Basic qualifications
- Doctorate in Electrical Engineering with a Power Electronics or related focus and at least 15 years of experience, or a master’s degree with at least 18 years of experience.
