Principal Engineer – Mechanical (Pump & Pipeline)

Responsibilities

• About the role:
• We are seeking a Principal Engineer to support mining infrastructure projects across Australia, with a strong focus on pumping systems, pipeline networks, and water management systems.
• This is a hybrid role combining process engineering, hydraulic analysis, and pipeline/pumping system design, rather than a conventional EPC-style discipline role.
• The position will lead technical delivery, mentor engineers, and interface with multidisciplinary teams across Australia and India.
• The role requires close collaboration and effective coordination with clients, multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, suppliers, pipeline route survey consultants, geotechnical investigation teams, construction contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure engineering excellence, compliance with project requirements, timely delivery of deliverables, and successful project execution.
• Technical Leadership
• Lead design and analysis of:
• Pumping systems (HP pumps, transfer systems)
• Pipeline and network systems (water, slurry, dewatering)
• Define system philosophy:
• Pumping strategy and operating scenarios
