Principal Engineer

Role Overview

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform static, fatigue, damage-tolerance, and vibration analyses of aircraft structures.
• Evaluate structural integrity using hand calculations and finite element methods.
• Generate load distributions and free-body diagrams based on structural load paths.
• Prepare or revise strength-check notes and stress reports.
• Recommend solutions based on stress analysis results.
• Manage assigned project schedule and cost and track engineering metrics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and United States business units.
• Deliver high-quality work under aggressive schedules while maintaining attention to detail.

Basic Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• 12 to 15 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of composite materials and analysis.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals, including solid mechanics and machine design.
• Understanding of structural load paths and structural response to load.
