Role Overview
Principal Engineer in Building Structures providing strategic technical leadership for complex building projects.
The role sets design direction, oversees structural engineering delivery, and drives quality, safety, efficiency, and innovation.
Technical Leadership
- Lead the structural engineering function for major building projects from concept through completion.
- Define technical strategies aligned with project objectives, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to senior engineers, graduate engineers, and BIM teams.
- Review and approve complex designs, calculations, and specifications for steel, concrete, and composite structures.
Stakeholder and Quality Oversight
- Act as the primary technical authority in client meetings and resolve high-level engineering challenges.
- Oversee audits, inspections, quality assurance, and compliance checks for structural works.
- Manage clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to secure approvals and maintain compliance.
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards across structural activities.
