Role Overview
The Principal Engineer will provide strategic technical leadership and oversight for complex building-structures projects.
The role covers design direction, compliance with regional and international standards, innovation, multidisciplinary leadership, and project quality, safety, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead the structural engineering function for major building projects from concept through completion.
- Define technical strategies aligned with project objectives, client requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Guide and mentor senior engineers, graduate engineers, and BIM teams.
- Review and approve complex steel, concrete, and composite structural designs, calculations, and specifications.
- Serve as the primary technical authority in client meetings and resolve high-level engineering challenges.
- Oversee quality assurance, audits, inspections, and compliance checks for structural works.
- Implement advanced design methodologies and digital tools such as BIM and parametric design.
- Ensure adherence to HSE standards across structural activities.
- Manage clients, contractors, and regulatory-authority relationships to secure approvals and maintain compliance.
- Prepare executive-level reports and support business development through technical proposals and presentations.
