Role Overview
Lead technology, software, product, and solution development using deep expertise in a specialized area.
Serve as the first R&D point of contact for complex product and technology issues.
Support strategic technology management and future product, software, and solution architecture.
The role contributes to ABB’s Process Automation Business in Bangalore.
Work Model
- The work model is hybrid.
Main Accountabilities
- Design and develop scalable cloud-native and edge-enabled industrial software using microservice architectures.
- Drive product development from requirements and architecture through implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
- Govern application, data, integration, and security architectures across cloud and edge environments.
- Lead technology initiatives, provide technical direction and mentorship, and oversee architecture.
- Collaborate with product management, R&D teams, and stakeholders on technical solutions.
- Promote engineering standards, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, and release management.
- Ensure distributed systems are available, scalable, observable, and maintainable.
