Role overview

Provide cyber security consultancy to Aerospace, Defence, and CNI/OT clients facing evolving cyber threats.

Work across business-as-usual, technical refresh, and new project environments.

The role is suited to a recently qualified professional seeking advanced cyber security responsibilities.

Client delivery

  • Provide cyber security advice and guidance for clients in various environments.
  • Lead risk assessments, security governance, and deployment of security controls tailored to client needs.
  • Develop, review, and maintain security artefacts, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage concurrent projects and deliver quality work to tight deadlines.

Technical leadership

  • Apply technical security knowledge creatively to solve cyber security challenges.
  • Foster continuous improvement within the security team.
  • Communicate cyber security concepts and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Business development

  • Assist with identifying new business opportunities and contribute to proposals and client engagement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

Core qualifications and experience

  • Technical cyber security consultancy experience in multidisciplinary environments is required.
  • Information assurance experience must include ISMS development, risk assessments, and security controls.
  • Relevant Information Assurance and Security qualifications are required.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills are required.
  • Travel throughout the UK and occasional overseas travel is required.

Specialist experience

  • UK Defence experience and knowledge of MoD security policies and processes are advantageous.
  • Experience with Defence assurance and accreditation or OT cyber security consultancy is advantageous.
  • Experience segmenting and securing industrial OT/ICS networks is advantageous.
  • Control and Instrumentation experience is an added advantage.

Standards and professional development

  • Familiarity with IEC 62443, NIST CSF, NIS Regulations, or HSE OG-0086 is advantageous.
  • GICSP or IEC/ISA 62443 qualifications are advantageous.
  • Membership of IISP, IS2, BCS, CIISEC, or similar bodies is advantageous.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning new frameworks and technologies is expected.

Work arrangements

  • Projects are likely to involve client-site work, with hybrid working available for flexibility.
  • The role may require travel across the UK and occasionally overseas.
