Principal Application Software Engineer (Performance Engineering)

Responsibilities

• We seek extremely proactive, driven engineers eager to innovate and tackle difficult challenging performance problems in world-class Oracle Cloud applications.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, in close partnership with Development Leads/Architects.
• Deep Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis to identify optimization opportunities. Guide and mentor team members on optimization and adherence to architectural standards.
• Innovation: Lead initiatives at the technological forefront; recommend transformative changes to existing systems.
• Mentorship: Support team growth through technical consulting, guidance on new algorithms, and best practices.
• Strong fundamentals in algorithms/design patterns.
• Excellent communication with the ability to explain technical concepts to various audiences/ Leaderships.
• Responsibilities:
• As a member of the software engineering division:
• Participate in evaluating and evolving performance standards and methodologies.
• Influence architectural and design capabilities of cloud services to maximize performance.
• Analyze performance bottlenecks at all tiers to ensure services’ stability and scalability.
• Perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems
• Drive improvement in operational maturity and key performance indicators (KPIs) across services.
• Organize and enhance incident management practices and take part in major technical migrations.
