About the Role
Build an AI Creator that turns learning into action by helping users build, experiment, and solve real-world problems.
Work on the core AI system delivering real-time, adaptive learning experiences to learners.
Core AI System
- Build and evolve the AI tutoring system, including prompt architectures, agentic workflows, and real-time adaptive behaviors.
- Prototype and productionize novel model interactions using emerging research and capabilities.
Evaluation and Software
- Run experimentation and evaluation using custom metrics and frameworks to measure learning effectiveness and improve model reliability.
- Design and implement scalable software integrating AI with platform systems, content pipelines, and user experience components.
Collaboration and Quality
- Collaborate with educators, content creators, and product teams to translate pedagogical goals into technical solutions.
- Ensure quality, safety, and observability through monitoring, testing, guardrails, and iterative refinement.
- Share knowledge and elevate teammates in a culture of clarity, simplicity, and continuous learning.
Technical Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience building complex LLM-based systems, with prompt engineering and agentic workflow design experience.
- Ability to design evaluation methods, including custom metrics and frameworks when standard options are insufficient.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, architectural thinking, and fluency in Python.
- Comfort working with production infrastructure, cloud environments, and CI/CD.
- Active engagement with AI research and emerging capabilities.
Product and Pedagogy
- Empathy for learners and content creators, with the ability to translate pedagogical goals into system behavior and product decisions.
- Ability to reason across AI behavior, content structure, platform features, and user experience.
- Familiarity with learning science or a desire to develop expertise.
Character and Collaboration
- Persistence when solving difficult and ambiguous problems without a clear blueprint.
- Preference for elegance and simplicity in system design.
- Clear communication, mentoring, and collaboration in small, high-ownership teams.
