What you will doIn the Principal Advisor role, you will:Establish and maintain strong working relationships with QCAA stakeholders and provide high level strategic and operational advice and consultancy services, particularly in the areas of employee relations, industrial relations, injury management, organisational development, recruitment and selection, and establishment management.Lead and coach the Advisory team in the provision of contemporary HR activities including operational advice and consultancy services.Facilitate the resolution of complex employee and industrial relations matters through the provision of effective support, through case management and workplace interventions.Lead the development and facilitation of HR projects and continuous improvement associated with learning and development, diversity and inclusion, workplace health and safety, and organisational development.Plan, develop, lead, and evaluate strategic workforce projects and strategies to build organisational capability, ensuring responsiveness to meet the current and future needs of the organisation and best practice workforce management principles.Prepare high-quality written documentation such as policy documents, submissions for action, reports, briefing notes and other correspondence for senior stakeholders on a range of complex and confidential workforce management issues.Evaluate, develop, and implement a policy framework and associated workforce management processes to ensure compliance with legislative and industrial obligations, governance arrangements, mitigation of workplace risks, and continuous improvement in organisational outcomes.Coordinate the delivery of operational and strategic workforce planning and workforce compliance reporting accurately and in a timely manner with the Manager, People and Culture Unit.Ensure coordinated and timely approaches to service delivery for the Advisory team across the organisation.As a leader, actively demonstrate and promote a workplace culture of gender equality, respectful relationships, diversity, inclusion, employee safety and support.Reporting relationshipsThis role reports to the Manager, People and Culture.4 positions report into this role.What we are looking forThe QCAA is committed to selecting the person best suited to the role and to furthering equity and diversity.
