Responsibilities
- Assist with pricing and service delivery related aspects of pitches and proposals
- Develop Alternative Fee Arrangements (AFAs) and budgets for clients across all offices
- Develop template budget and project management tools for different matter types
- Carry out matter profitability analysis in relation to historical, existing and potential matters
- Promote service delivery efficiency initiatives, including alternative staffing and technology tools
- Support and lead various projects to streamline client service processes and identify automation opportunities
- Analyze, model, organize and store information to support legal service delivery innovation
- Work directly with Directors and Managers to identify client and lawyer pain points
Requirements
- Completed post secondary education in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or related field; advanced degree preferred (MBA, CPA, LLB/JD)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from within a legal or professional services organization
- Professional maturity including strong interpersonal skills, tact and discretion
- High aptitude for quantitative tasks, including financial analysis
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to think strategically and perform well in dealing with ambiguity
- Ability to work in a demanding, fast paced environment
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable

Job Description
- McCarthy Tétrault is a leading Canadian law firm offering a full suite of legal and business solutions.
- Our Pricing and Legal Project Management (LPM) Team focuses on market strategy and service delivery innovation.
- This position is based out of Toronto with a hybrid work environment.
As a Pricing and LPM Specialist, you will be:
- Assisting with pricing and service delivery related aspects of pitches and proposals.
- Developing Alternative Fee Arrangements (AFAs) and budgets for clients across all offices.
- Developing template budget and project management tools for different matter types.
- Carrying out matter profitability analysis.
- Promoting various service delivery efficiency initiatives.
- Supporting and leading various projects.
- Analyzing, modeling, organizing and storing information to support legal service delivery innovation.
- Helping service delivery innovation projects meet schedules, business and budget objectives.
- Working directly with Directors and Managers to identify existing and emerging client and lawyer pain points.
- Developing an understanding of new legal technology.
- Working with other team members to design and build client solutions.
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
- Completed post secondary education in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
