TLM International Freight Services provides air, sea, and land freight, warehousing, 3PL, contract logistics, customs clearance, and multimodal coordination services.
The company is based in Jebel Ali Free Zone and serves businesses across international trade corridors.
Pricing and Quotations
- Receive and analyze customer and sales enquiries for sea, air, and land freight services.
- Obtain and negotiate rates from shipping lines, airlines, transporters, overseas agents, and other service providers.
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations with freight charges, origin and destination charges, surcharges, validity, and commercial terms.
- Maintain vendor rate sheets, tariffs, surcharges, and pricing databases.
- Monitor market rates, carrier updates, fuel surcharges, and other cost fluctuations.
- Follow up on quotations and maintain quotation status and conversion records.
Sales Support
- Provide day-to-day commercial support to the Freight Sales and Business Development team.
- Respond to customer and sales enquiries and coordinate internally to provide suitable freight solutions.
- Prepare rate comparisons, commercial proposals, and other documents required by the sales team.
- Support competitive pricing opportunities and improve quotation-to-booking conversion.
- Maintain customer, quotation, and opportunity information in the CRM or ERP system.
Booking and Shipment Coordination
- Process confirmed bookings and coordinate with the Operations team for smooth execution.
- Ensure agreed commercial terms and quoted rates are communicated correctly to Operations.
- Coordinate booking confirmations, schedules, cut-offs, and shipment requirements with customers and vendors.
- Track booking status and follow up on pending confirmations.
- Escalate pricing, booking, or service-related issues when required.
Vendor and Carrier Coordination
- Maintain working relationships with shipping lines, airlines, transporters, overseas agents, and other freight service providers.
- Obtain spot and contract rates based on customer requirements.
- Compare vendor options to identify commercially viable solutions.
- Maintain records of vendor rates, service schedules, and applicable terms.
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain daily and weekly records of enquiries, quotations, bookings, and conversion ratios.
- Prepare pricing reports, quotation status reports, and sales support dashboards.
- Track quotation conversion and identify reasons for lost business where possible.
- File quotations, rate confirmations, and commercial correspondence.
- Support management with pricing and sales performance reports.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Management to support smooth shipment execution.
- Coordinate with Finance on credit terms, customer requirements, and commercial approvals.
- Ensure clear handover of confirmed shipments from Sales or Commercial to Operations.
- Support resolution of customer and vendor commercial issues.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong attention to pricing accuracy and commercial terms.
- Awareness of freight market rates, carrier updates, fuel surcharges, and cost fluctuations.
- Ability to prepare competitive quotations for sea, air, and land freight services.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with sales, operations, finance, customers, carriers, and vendors.
- Ability to maintain accurate quotation, customer, opportunity, booking, and vendor-rate records in CRM or ERP systems.
