The Strategic Pricing Department is looking for a candidate to fill the role of Pricing Analyst II . The successful candidate is an experienced pricing analyst that partners closely with management to achieve strategic pricing objectives.
Hiring Range: $90,000 - $100,000
Responsibilities
- Drive the design and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives for pricing processes and systems, driving measurable reductions in waste and improvements in speed, accuracy, and margin realization.
- Partner with cross-functional to define requirements and lead the deployment of enhanced pricing systems, analytics, and reporting capabilities.
- Produce complex product and market analyses to define and refine floor and ceiling prices, incorporating competitive intelligence, customer value perception, and portfolio positioning.
- Perform in depth evaluation of pricing drivers (volume, cost, competition, channel, and segmentation) and translate findings into clear, data-driven pricing strategies and recommendations for division and business unit leadership.
- Support and help drive corporate strategic pricing initiatives across divisions by using data, insights, and structured reviews to influence alignment, adoption, and compliance with pricing guidelines.
- Design and maintain continuous feedback mechanisms that measure pricing effectiveness and enable ongoing refinement of pricing models.
- Drive the development, enhancement, and deployment of pricing tools and guidelines used by product managers and field sales, ensuring they are intuitive, up-to-date, and aligned with strategic objectives.
- Advise on list price structures, standard discounts, and rebate programs, including playing a key role restructuring, coordinating communication plans, and overseeing publication of price increases.
- Define and refine the exception pricing process by recommending guidelines, authority levels and maintaining a disciplined and structured approach to exception pricing.
- Develop and deliver reports and insights on pricing performance, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommending actions to respond to changing economic and market conditions.
Qualifications
- Post Secondary Education or Degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in pricing, commercial analytics, finance, or a related role.
- Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, with advanced PC proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Microsoft Power Quary/Power BI or other data/query tools.
- Proficient understanding of manufacturing processes, practices, and cost accounting principles, and the ability to apply this knowledge to pricing, margin, and profitability decisions.
- Proven ability to maintain customer confidence and protect operations by consistently safeguarding sensitive and confidential pricing information.
- Previous experience in managing or overseeing a team is considered an asset
