The Press Utility Associate will take direction from the Lead Hand/Press Operator assisting in producing a quality product. Provides assistance to the operators of both presses doing many various tasks. This position has the expectation of learning and performing the duties of the Press Associate over time.
Responsible for department housekeeping duties which includes:
Assist Operators and Associates with the operation and associated tasks on both presses

Clean pumps, blade chambers, and anilox rollers
Keep all inspection records, and other required documentation up-to-date
Staging of film and/or removing finished material from press and slitter area as required.
Filing of completed dockets in storage area when required
Filing of signed and completed colour cards in the ink room office as required
Monitor supplies for the press area and inform Supervisor of any supplies needed.
Support the Slitter Operators with pre-cut cores as time permits
Provide assistance to the Press Operators during vacations and absences.
Expected to learn and perform the duties of the Press Associate.
Understand internal documentation i.e. SIS, Job specifications etc.,
Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality and sanitation requirements.
Adhere to all Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any non-conformities
Other duties as assigned.
Eligible to work in Canada
Experience in flexible packaging printing is an asset.
Reliable attendance
Ability to work a rotating 12 hour Continental shift
Work overtime as required
Must work as a team player and show initiative in learning new tasks. Always approach any job in a healthy and safe manner
Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Ability perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management.
