Role Overview
The Emirates Drug Establishment is seeking an experienced Preclinical Research Expert.
The role supports pharmaceutical and biomedical research within the UAE's regulatory and research ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on preclinical research strategy, study design, and evaluation.
- Review pharmacology, toxicology, and safety studies supporting product development.
- Provide expertise across laboratory, animal, and non-animal preclinical models.
- Ensure studies align with GLP and internationally recognized scientific and regulatory standards.
- Evaluate the quality, robustness, and relevance of preclinical data and evidence.
- Translate preclinical evidence into clinical development and regulatory decision-making.
- Strengthen research, scientific, and regulatory capabilities.
- Collaborate with researchers, laboratories, academia, and relevant stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- An advanced degree such as a PhD, PharmD, MD, MSc, or equivalent is required in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Strong professional experience in pharmaceutical or biomedical preclinical research is required.
- Expertise in toxicology, pharmacology, study design, and GLP requirements is required.
- A strong understanding of the drug development lifecycle from preclinical research through clinical development is required.
