Responsibilities
- Develop rigorous lessons in Pre Calculus in 1:1 blended learning environments
- Set ambitious goals with students and monitor their progress through frequent feedback
- Track student growth and use data to create growth plans when needed
- Build relationships with students and families through regular communication
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for student development
- Collaborate with co planner to develop daily lesson plans and resources
- Meet deadlines for lesson plans, grades, and work samples
- Work with a team of teachers and leaders to provide consistency and support
- Participate in professional development and norm on student learning
- Conduct weekly tutorials outside of regular class day
- Complete supervision duties including morning duty, lunch duty, dismissal, detention, and afterschool duty
- Grow professionally by receiving and giving feedback consistently
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university recognized by THECB
- Texas Educator Certification or willingness to join ACP to get certified
- Strong ability to navigate web related applications and technology
- Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms
- Belief in and commitment to the mission and core values of YES Prep Public Schools
- Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
- Ability to work urgently in a fast paced and results oriented environment
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and initiatives at once

- COMPENSATION: Starting at $64,000 annually
The Role
- Developing rigorous lessons in your specific content area, in 1:1 blended learning environments
- Setting ambitious goals with your students and monitoring their progress
- Tracking student growth and using data to create student growth plans
- Building transformable relationships with students and families
- Creating a physical or virtual classroom environment conducive to learning
- Collaborating with co planner to work through daily lesson plans
- Meeting regular deadlines for daily lesson plans, submitting grades, and work samples
- Working on a team of teachers and leaders to provide consistency, support, and accountability
- Working with content teams in Professional Development
- Conducting weekly tutorials outside of regular class day
- Completing supervision duties on campus
- Growing professionally in your craft of teaching
