Role Overview
The Practice Lead – Renewables will advance wind, solar, and BESS energy projects through strategic direction and technical expertise.
The role combines renewable business growth, engineering consultancy delivery, client development, and team leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead renewable energy business growth and delivery.
- Oversee major renewable energy projects and programmes.
- Lead bids and proposals in line with internal governance procedures.
- Develop renewable solutions with technical teams based on client and market needs.
- Deliver Owner's Engineer, LTA, and feasibility study assignments.
- Develop go-to-market strategy for renewable and energy projects.
- Review junior team work and maintain delivery quality.
- Secure and lead consultancy assignments.
- Maintain client relationships and meet client requirements.
- Identify new clients and prepare business development plans.
- Represent the business with senior clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Manage project execution, cash collection, and business KPIs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Experience leading teams, projects, and business in an engineering consultancy or major project environment.
- Business development experience in renewable energy, including wind, solar, and BESS.
- Demonstrable client-handling experience in front-facing project work.
- Experience delivering Owner's Engineer, LTA, and feasibility study assignments.
- Exposure to international projects.
- Experience as a seller-doer.
- Ability to travel around the GCC region as required.
