PR & Media Consultant | UAE

Sumea Social Agency is looking for an experienced PR & Media Consultant to support high-impact communications work across the UAE and wider MENA region.

We’re looking for someone with strong knowledge of the UAE and pan-Arab media landscape, established relationships with journalists, editors, producers, and commentators, and experience working on purpose-driven, advocacy, sustainability, public affairs, or high-visibility campaigns.

The ideal person is both strategic and hands-on: able to shape communications plans, identify strong media angles, build relevant stakeholder and media maps, draft compelling press materials, and proactively secure meaningful coverage across Arabic and English-language outlets.

Responsibilities include developing UAE-focused communications and media strategies, mapping priority media and stakeholders, leading journalist outreach, preparing press releases, media advisories, key messages, Q&As and briefing notes, supporting leadership positioning and spokesperson visibility, identifying thought leadership opportunities, coordinating interviews and event publicity, tracking media coverage, preparing reports, and advising on sensitive or fast-moving communications moments.

Experience in climate, environment, sustainability, social impact, public policy, or regional advocacy work is a strong plus.

You should be proactive, highly organized, comfortable to work independently.

Arabic fluency is a plus.

This can begin on a freelance or consultant basis, with the potential to grow into a longer-term role.
