Power Supply Project Manager Overview
SYSTRA is one of the world's leading engineering and consultancy groups specialising in public transport and sustainable mobility.
The Power Supply Project Manager will lead all aspects of power supply systems for a high-speed rail project from concept design to commissioning and handover.
The role involves managing project leadership, design review, stakeholder coordination, technical assessments, compliance, budgeting, quality assurance, reporting, and training.
Main Duties
- Manage all aspects of power supply systems (traction, auxiliary, emergency power) for the high-speed rail project from concept design to commissioning and handover.
- Oversee and support the design of power supply solutions, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards of UAE and international railway norms.
- Interface with clients, consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution and integration of power supply systems.
- Evaluate feasibility studies, technical proposals, and tender documents; recommend best practices and value engineering solutions.
- Ensure all power supply works comply with local statutory requirements, environmental standards, and railway best practices.
- Prepare and manage budgets, resources, project schedules, and risk registers for power supply sub-projects.
- Develop and monitor QA/QC plans, testing and commissioning strategies, and HSE protocols related to power systems.
- Provide regular progress reports, technical documentation, and presentations to project teams and senior management.
- Mentor junior engineers, facilitate knowledge transfer, and support operational readiness and handover activities.
Qualifications
- Experience in power supply systems and railway norms.
