Power Electronics Engineer - Contractor

HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.

Significant experience designing electronic systems within high-reliability or regulated industries.

Strong understanding of: Power conversion topologies Magnetic component design Analogue and digital control systems Thermal design principles EMC/EMI mitigation techniques

Strong analogue electronics design and circuit simulation expertise.

Proven ability to lead technical activities and influence engineering decisions.

Experience with communication protocols such as RS485, SPI, I²C, CAN, or similar.

Strong understanding of component selection, derating, reliability, and lifecycle considerations.

Experience producing and reviewing schematics and technical documentation.

Understanding of PCB design principles, layout supervision, and design-for-manufacture practices.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers, suppliers, and engineering teams.

Self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of leading technical delivery in a fast-paced environment.
