Power and Electronics Engineering Manager

What You Will Do:

• Lead and develop a team of electrical power and electronics engineers/technicians
• Oversee design, installation, and maintenance of facility electrical power systems (480V/240V distribution, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, generators)
• Own electrical standards, safety compliance (NEC, NFPA 70E, UL, CE), and documentation
• Provide engineering support for machine-level electrical systems: power distribution, drives, controls electronics, sensors, and wiring
• Partner with Facilities, Manufacturing, and Automation teams on equipment installations and upgrades
• Lead root-cause analysis for electrical failures, downtime events, and equipment reliability issues
• Ensure electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC/electronics interfaces are maintained and updated
• Manage external contractors, integrators, and vendors as required
• Drive continuous improvement in power reliability, energy efficiency, and electrical safety
• Provide capital project support including scope development, design review, and commissioning
• Serve as Electrical Authority Having Jurisdiction
• We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in power electronics design and development
• Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards, safety compliance (NEC, NFPA 70E, UL, CE), and documentation
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, and simulation tools
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a “Q” level security clearance
• A Successful Candidates will bring:
• Experience in manufacturing or nuclear industry
• Project management experience
• Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware development
• An active “Q” level security clearance
• Pay:
• Estimated Starting Base Salary Range: $156,352 - $260,586. This position is Incentive eligible. Centrus considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. While the posted range reflects the anticipated hiring range for this position, compensation above the range may be considered for candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience.
