We are seeking a Post-Silicon Debug Tools Engineer to define and drive implementation of the next generation of silicon debug tools! In this role you will lead architecture and development of tracing tools for system debug environment. The ideal candidate combines proven experience in developing command-line and graphical user interfaces, excellent Python software-development skills and proficiency in modern design-for-debug (DFD) architectures.
Responsibilities:
Lead the architecture and development of post-silicon debug tools for configuring and decoding hardware traces, as a part of a larger SoC debug portfolio.
Actively collaborate with DFD architecture and design teams to deliver debug tools that communicate with innovative DFD hardware for system debug use cases.
Work closely with other members of the silicon debug tools to create consistent user experience across the entire debug toolkit.
Partner with silicon verification teams for end-to-end debug flow validation of tracing tools in simulation and emulation environments.
Provide training and support to post-silicon debug teams employing debug tools for issue root-cause and analysis.
Champion automation, reuse, and scalable debug methodologies that reduce time-to-root-cause.
Influence next-generation silicon architecture to ensure debug features are designed for observability and diagnosability.
