Portfolio & Market Intelligence Analyst Intern

Compensation range: CAD$90,000 per year

• IMPORTANT: This posting is for current undergraduate students who are available to work for 8 months starting January 2027 to August 2027.

Position overview

Responsibilities

• Assist in investment operations by working with the business team and investment team to identify pain points and research potential solutions alongside our engineering team;
• Conduct portfolio and fund analysis and monitoring through collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from our portfolio companies;
• Assist in research and presentation writing, including analyzing data, visualizing data, and writing/designing decks;
• Provide ad-hoc analytical and strategic support to senior management, as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program; preferably in STEM, Commerce, or business related fields;
• Strong academic record;
• A strong passion and /or interest in financial services and technology;
• Comfortable with ambiguity and in an entrepreneurial environment where things change constantly;
• Organized with a close attention to detail;
• Team player – collaborate and willing to take on whatever is needed to support the team;
• Ability to attentively review, assess, and provide detailed information daily on multiple projects in an organized manner;
• Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to synthesize and articulate thoughts about companies and markets concisely;
• Knowledge and familiarity with data manipulation and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills;
• Must be authorized to work in Canada.
