The portfolio includes retail, commercial, restaurant, fuel, card-lock, fleet, and related POS systems.
Leadership and operations
- Manage POS and QA Specialists through task assignment, goal setting, mentoring, and performance oversight.
- Oversee POS, kitchen production, card-lock, fleet, and related retail systems.
- Establish priorities and timelines for solution delivery and serve as a liaison for business requirements.
- Maintain test lab facilities and equipment and keep them current with technology and requirements.
Vendors, testing, and support
- Manage vendor relationships, status calls, issue prioritization, and feature prioritization.
- Define QA and beta testing processes for new or updated software and hardware solutions.
- Maintain issue logs, drive vendor performance, and serve as an escalation point for retail support teams.
- Support testing, PCI, and certification efforts with POS Specialists and technology providers.
Planning and technology oversight
- Assist with annual capital and expense budgets for the team and facilities.
- Monitor industry trends and technology changes and advise management on available options and new solutions.
- Maintain backup knowledge of POS solutions and related systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management, or a related field, or 5 years of relevant retail POS service, support, development, or project management experience.
- At least 5 years supporting retail credit and debit card processing systems and quality testing.
- At least 3 years of experience with fuel dispensing systems and interfaces.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to create project and budget plans.
- Understanding of network communications, security measures, data protection, and PCI standards.
