Project and Role Overview
The role is for a PMC Junior Engineer - Civil on the AIIMS Madurai Hospital Block project.
The engineer will monitor and coordinate civil construction activities for the hospital project.
The position is based in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, with work performed in person.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily civil construction and finishing activities at site.
- Coordinate with the PMC design team, contractors, PMU, and project stakeholders.
- Review civil drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documents.
- Ensure construction follows approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, quality standards, and project requirements.
- Inspect RCC, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, façade, ceiling, roofing, and external development works.
- Coordinate civil-MEP interfaces to minimize clashes, delays, and rework.
- Monitor site quality, workmanship, progress, and compliance with approved methodologies.
- Identify non-conformities and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist with quantity verification, measurements, inspections, snagging, testing, completion, and handover.
- Prepare site progress reports and escalate critical issues and delays to project leadership.
- Maintain proper site documentation and records.
