Role overview
Wood seeks an experienced HSE Engineer to support large-scale gas processing projects for a high-profile client.
The role supports HSE objectives across site operations and Wood EPCM project delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Provide advice on health, safety, and environmental matters in line with legislation, company policies, and client requirements.
- Support HSE assurance planning, high-risk audits, inspections, reports, and recommendations for improvement.
- Advise site management on safety and environmental plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Develop and maintain business-unit HSE policies and procedures.
- Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, seminars, and workforce consultation.
- Investigate loss events and provide HSE direction to site management, employees, and contractors.
- Drive behavioral culture change and manage relationships with client HSE teams.
Expected qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years of HSE experience.
- Solid understanding of organizational change.
- Experience working exclusively at a site location.
- Ability to articulate messages to varied audiences and engage senior leadership.
- Strong written communication, presentation, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
