About the Role
Veson Nautical is hiring a PM-Consultant to lead cross-functional project teams for enterprise software implementations in the maritime industry. The role requires 4+ years of project management experience, a formal PM qualification, and fluency in English and Arabic, with extensive travel to client sites in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Act as solution architect on projects, developing deep understanding of client business models
- Facilitate business process analysis and business requirements gathering and documentation
- Identify and track critical path/activities, risks, contingencies and alternatives
- Proactively address customer concerns and meet or exceed customer needs
- Resolve, trace and escalate critical issues to minimize project risk factors
- Establish and maintain relationships with clients, vendors and third parties
- Provide regular project updates to team and management on work performed, plans, budget and status
- Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Regularly communicate with management on status of initiatives
Requirements
- 4+ years working experience as a Project Manager with related Consulting/Business Analysis skills
- Travel up to 80%, including being site based at a client in Abu Dhabi c70% plus other projects
- Formal project management qualification (Prince2, PMP or similar)
- Fluent English and Arabic
- Analytical approach with attention to detail
- Proven planning and organisational skills
- Outstanding consulting, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills
- Ability to communicate with customers at all levels
- Proven ability to proactively address customer concerns
- Experience with business process analysis and requirements gathering
- Degree qualified – ideally in IT/Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Business or Engineering

Responsibilities
- Our Project Manager Consultants are responsible for leading cross functional project teams to achieve client and company business objectives.
- Manage multiple new or existing client software implementation projects and provide effective communication across all stakeholders.
- Effectively oversee each project to ensure a high standard of quality and customer service.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure they are informed and engaged during the implementation process.
- Drive each project to completion on time, on scope and on budget.
Required Skills
- >4 years working experience as a Project Manager with related Consulting/Business Analysis skills.
- Travel up to 80%, including being site based at a client in Abu Dhabi c70% plus other projects as required.
- A formal project management qualification in either Prince2, PMP or a similar recognised level.
- Fluent English and Arabic with additional languages welcome!
- Analytical approach with a focus on attention to detail, with solutioning capabilities.
- Proven planning and organisational skills.
- Outstanding consulting, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills.
- Ability to communicate with customers at all levels.
- Proven ability to proactively address customer concerns and meet or exceed customer needs.
- Experience with business process analysis and business requirements gathering and documentation.
- Desire to work in fast paced, entrepreneurial setting.
- Degree qualified or above – Ideally within IT/Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Business or a similar Engineering field.
Beneficial Skills (Not essential)
- Financial Technologies and Accounting experience is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience on trading, risk management, and physical trading in the commodity market, ETRM, CTRM.
- Knowledge of the maritime shipping industry.
- Insight on the energy, oil, and gas industries.
- Familiarity with Windows Server, MS Operating Systems, Microsoft SQL Server, and MS Office applications.
- Exposure to programming languages and technologies (such as C#, JavaScript, scripting languages, and XML).
