- Using BIM tools to model plumbing systems and coordinate with other disciplines; hands-on Autodesk Revit experience is a must.
- Developing plumbing system layouts and detailed designs for mission-critical facilities.
- Designing and modeling domestic water, sanitary waste, vent, storm drainage, and other plumbing systems.
- Developing plumbing piping layouts, equipment connections, riser diagrams, and system schematics.
- Performing plumbing calculations and supporting equipment and piping sizing.
- Producing coordinated BIM models and construction drawings.
- Developing a thorough understanding and delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, cost, and schedule.
- Determining and expediting engineering deliverables for projects
- Developing and maintaining project scope of work documentation and revisions as required during design evolution.
- Coordinating plumbing systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection disciplines.
- Identifying and resolving design and coordination issues within the BIM environment.
- Ensuring designs comply with applicable plumbing, building, and project-specific codes and standards.
- Preparing technical documentation required for project execution, including drawings, schedules, specifications, calculations, and equipment data.
- Reviewing shop drawings and submittals for compliance with design intent.
- Supporting project teams throughout design development and construction.
- Performing occasional site visits to support construction progress (valid U.S. work visa considered an asset but not required).
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of experience in plumbing design.
- Proven experience designing and modeling plumbing systems for commercial, industrial, or mission-critical facilities.
