Your JobAs a Plating Process Engineer, you will support and improve electroplating processes used to manufacture electrical connector components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive process stability, product quality, productivity, material utilization, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting new products and manufacturing capabilities.Our TeamThe Plating Operations team partners closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Laboratory, EHS, Tooling, Product Engineering, and global manufacturing teams. Together, we develop and sustain safe, reliable, and cost-effective manufacturing processes that support our customers and business objectives.What You Will DoDevelop, optimize, and support manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performanceAnalyze process data and lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve manufacturing and product quality challengesPlan and execute process trials, validations, equipment upgrades, and new product introductionsIdentify and implement continuous improvement opportunities that increase process capability, yield, throughput, and material utilizationPartner with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable process improvements and corrective actionsSupport process risk assessments, change management activities, audits, and compliance initiativesProvide technical guidance and training to employees supporting manufacturing operationsWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related technical disciplineExperience supporting manufacturing, chemical processing, or industrial production operations in an engineering, technical, or process-focused roleExperience troubleshooting and resolving process, equipment, quality, or production-related issues in a manufacturing environmentExperience using data to identify process improvements and support problem-solving activitiesWhat Will Put You AheadExperience with electroplating, surface finishing, or other chemical-based manufacturing processesExperience supporting connector, electronics, automotive, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environmentsExperience with new product introduction, process validation, equipment qualifications, or manufacturing transfersKnowledge of quality and continuous improvement tools such as DOE, SPC, PFMEA, Control Plans, Lean, Six Sigma, or 8D problem solvingExperience with manufacturing automation, PLC-controlled equipment, SAP, MES, or other manufacturing systemsExperience leading material utilization, yield improvement, or cost reduction initiativesThis role is not eligible for VISA sponsorship.At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
