Remote contract role for a Senior Platform Engineer supporting scalable infrastructure for a platform serving a large user base.
The role focuses on high availability, performance, reliability, security, and infrastructure strategy.
Compensation
- Payout is $40-$100 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure components for a cloud-based platform.
- Optimize performance, reliability, and security through monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Lead initiatives improving platform scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams on infrastructure changes and upgrades.
- Develop and enforce best practices for infrastructure management, deployment, and configuration.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment strategies.
- Familiarity with Linux systems administration and shell scripting.
